Volkswagen, which translates to "People's Car" in German, was established in 1937 by the German Labour Front with the aim of producing affordable vehicles for the general public.

The company's first and most iconic model, the Type 1 Beetle, was designed by Ferdinand Porsche and became a symbol of German automotive engineering.

Post-World War II, Volkswagen played a significant role in Germany's economic recovery, with the Beetle becoming one of the best-selling cars worldwide.

Over the decades, Volkswagen expanded its lineup, introducing models like the Golf, Passat, and Polo, and acquired several other automotive brands, solidifying its position as one of the world's leading car manufacturers.
