Chassis/VIN Plate
On the nearside centre of the bulkhead on a metal plate held by two silver rivets. The number displays no security marks. Later models the VIN plate will be on the left hand door B pillar in a black sticker format Visible VIN Left windscreen if fitted Stamped Number Viewed through the front offside wheel arch, stamped into the chassis behind the tyre. Engine Number Early models try either on the top of the rear nearside block on a vertical lug. Nearside front of the block and on V8 engines on the front offside Later models it may be on the rear of the block but its position will vary
