- Generally Mitsubishi VIN numbers are stamped into the bulkhead or firewall
- In some models, especially older ones, the VIN is stamped on the chassis or frame. For example, on the Mitsubishi Delica, the VIN is located under a fabric flap beneath the driver's seat
- VIN plates are also often affixed to the Bulkhead or on later models onto the passenger or drivers door post in a sticker format
- Later Mitsubishi models will also have a visible VIN number that can be viewed through the bottom corner of the windscreen
