There is a busy trade in used 2CV's so buyer beware is always the best option. Take time to check the chassis number and note the engine number was usually only on a riveted metal plate and was prone to coming off as the 2CV got older. Always check the 2CV's history
Chassis/VIN Plate Citroen 2CV VIN can be located on a plate riveted to the front offside chassis platform between inner wheel arch and the engine rocker cover. Later models the plate appears on the offside of the bulkhead. Visible VIN None. Stamped Number Chassis VIN is located on the drivers side floor, behind the drivers seat. Later in the offside foot well. Engine Number On a plate riveted to the front of the block is prone to falling off. |
