BMW M series VIN plates can be found on the offside suspension housing on a black metallic sticker or on the inside of the offside wing on a metal riveted plate held by two silver rivets On later models on the drives door B post in a sticker format. Visible VIN On the nearside base of the front windscreen Stamped Number BMW M series stamped VIN number should be found on the offside top of the bulkhead above the rain channel, on the top of the suspension dome and on earlier models the number may be on the centre of the bulkhead.
