There have been numerous changes over the years with the Alfa Romeo Spider Roadster 
​Generally the vin number will be stamped or on a metal plate, in the engine bay on the front floor or in the boot.

Chassis/VIN Plate
Alfa Spider VIN plate is located on the offside top of inner wing on a metal riveted plate held by two black rivets. Number displays one star security mark in the middle.

Stamped Number
The Spider chassis number location is on the offside suspension housing with star security marks throughout the number.

Engine Number
On the 16V engine version the number is on the front offside of block on a 45o lug.

Visible VIN 
Later models will have the vin numer on the bottom of the front dash and possibley etched into the glass
