Chassis/VIN Plate
On the offside centre of the bulkhead on a metal riveted plate held by two rivets. The first part of the number is printed and the sequential part is stamped. On later models the Alto VIN plate is on the right door post at the bottom near the sill in a white sticker format Visible VIN None of early models Stamped Number Alto chassis number is stamped into the centre of the bulkhead. Later models same place but stamped into the top facing up just before the windscreen Engine Number Found on the bottom centre front or rear of the block on a vertical lug. but will vary with year of manufacture
