Chassis/VIN Plate
The VIN plate and a sometimes a build data plate which shows the VIN number can be found on top of both suspension housings on riveted metal plates. Later models it may be in a tamper proof sticker positioned on the bottom or inside of the door posts Stamped Number In the engine compartment the Outback chassis number is stamped just left of centre of the bulk head. On newer models it is located under and just infront of the driver or passenger seat under a flap of carpet. Engine Number The outback engine number may be found on the left center of the block facing up but this may vary with model and type |
