On Mk1 & Mk2 the VIN numbers are usually located in the same positions other than some early Mk 1's the data plate is on the slam panel

Chassis/VIN Plate         
Fabia VIN Plate should be located on the offside/ right door B pillar in a black sticker at the bottom of the pillar near the sill.
Early Mk1 Fabia's the data VIN plate was on the bonnet slam panel

Visible VIN     
Left side of the windscreen if fitted

Stamped Number        
Fabia Chassis number is usually stamped into the top of the right hand suspension housing

Engine Number
As you look at the engine on the right and centre of the block. To the right of the exhaust manifold 2006 1.2 engine This may vary although most engine numbers are located along the front face of the engine block
