Chassis/VIN Plate 
The M class VIN plate sticker is located Right hand side B pillar     

Visible VIN     
Left hand side under windscreen

Stamped Number
M class chassis number location is on the right side of the vehicle below the back seat under the floor mat. Lift the rear set forward and the Chassis number is stamped into the floor   

Engine Number
Engine code number May be on the right rear of the engine block below the gear box. On diesel engines it as been located on the left top of the block
