Chassis/VIN Plate
G Class VIN plate is located on the passenger or left side door B pillar. On Older models it may be located rivited to the bulkhead/firewall       

Visible VIN     
Windscreen if fitted

Stamped Number
On the right side of the vehicle. The chassis number viewed by looking behind the front wheel. The VIN is stamped into the chassis      

Engine Number
varies with age and model but may be on the rear right side of the block low down. On the front left of the block
