Chassis/VIN Plate
Lotus Esprit VIN located either in the front luggage compartment on the bulkhead or on the nearside front wheel arch. Visible VIN None on earlier models. On later models the number may appear on the nearside base of the front windscreen. Stamped Number Chassis number on the Esprit is stamped onto the chassis frame an a vertical surface between the inboard pivots of the offside front suspension lower wishbone, viewable via the offside front wheel arch. Engine Number On 4 cylinder engines the number is stamped onto a horizontal surface on the offside rear of the block. On V8 models the number is on a vertical flange on the nearside rear of the block. |
