Lexus IS VIN plate may be located on a silver metal plate held by two black rivets, positioned on the nearside centre of the bulkhead Later models possibly on the passenger B post

Visible VIN
Viewed through the base of the nearside front windscreen. The number is embossed into a metal tag held by two black rivets. 'Toyota' is repeated throughout the tag.  Chassis Number
Stamped Chassis Number
Stamped into the offside centre of the bulkhead. The number displays hyphen security marks at the start and end of the number. On some Lexus cars the number may be stamped into the floor by the drivers/passenger seat 
Engine Number
On the rear centre of the block above the gearbox on a machined vertical lug. Not visible without detaching engine components. |
