Chassis/VIN Plate
Kia Sportage VIN data plate is on the nearside of the bulkhead on a metal riveted plate held by two black rivets. The number is embossed and does not display any security marks. Stickers displaying the VIN can sometimes also be found on the Passenger and drivers door 
Stamped Chassis Number
Stamped chassis number is located on the nearside of the bulkhead above and to the left of the VIN plate. Stamped number only shows the sequential numbers of the VIN. stamped numbers have also been found stamped into the chassis under the passenger door. 
Engine Number
Stamped into a horizontal lug on the front nearside of the block behind the cam belt cover. VIN number can also be found on the rear nearside of the block on some older models. |
