Chassis/VIN Plate
Audi A8 VIN plate is found in a black VIN sticker format with bold white lettering positioned on the offside of the slam panel, behind the headlamp. On earlier models it is in the same position but on a riveted metal silver plate held by two silver rivets. Number displays no security markings. 
Visible VIN
On the nearside front windscreen, in bold white lettering on a black plastic tag. 
Stamped Number
Chassis number is located on the centre of the bulkhead. An Eight point star security mark appears at the beginning and end of the number.

Engine Number
Can be found on the offside front of the block on both V6 and V8 versions. |
