Chassis/VIN Plate
Audi A3 VIN Plate is a black sticker on the side of the offside suspension housing. The number displays no security marks. A secondary silver sticker can sometimes be found in the boot compartment on the inside of the offside wing, quite low down. The ninth character is smaller than the rest and separates the number. 
Visible VIN
On the nearside of the front windscreen in bold black lettering on an Audi security light background. It is viewed through the obscuration line 
Stamped Number
On the centre top of the bulkhead. An 8 point star security mark appears at the beginning and end of the number. It is viewed through a plastic covering 
Engine Number
The A3 engine number can be found stamped into the nearside front of the block. |
