The bonnet has been designed for removal by garage/dealer personnel in that it removes totally. Behind the front plastic grill bearing the Audi logo you will find the bonnet release mechanism which is operated by turning the spring loaded knobs.
Note: The bonnet is difficult to replace.

Chassis/VIN Plate
Audi A2 VIN location is in a black sticker format positioned under the passenger side carpet on the floor. The number does not display any security marks 
Visible VIN
Viewed through the nearside base of the front windscreen. The number is in bold white lettering on a plastic tag. 
Stamped Number
A2 Chassis number is viewed by removing the rear storage compartment (ashtray) located between the drivers and passengers seat in the centre console. The number has eight point star security marks at both ends 
Engine Number
Stamped into the front nearside of the block adjacent to the bell housing on a machined lug
